The oil and gas industry is on a path of significant transformation and rethinking its approaches, purposes, and processes. The pace towards a low-carbon future is accelerating, and the impact of pandemic challenges has ensured that this transition will only speed up in response to the urgency of the climate action. In order to adapt to these changing conditions, the petroleum sector needs to find new ways to provide sustainable and affordable energy to all, while reducing its carbon footprint from operations and products. This enables oil and gas businesses to consider new investment opportunities, including renewable and unconventional energy sources, as well as other innovative energy solutions.

A unique way to respond to this global change is to approach it in a multi-stakeholder way, bringing together different actors such as governments, businesses, NGOs, communities, startups. Together, we can build an efficient ecosystem and co-design game-changing solutions that will allow the oil and gas industry be more sustainable in a long run, addressing major social and environmental challenges.
