All profits from WPC Energy activities including our Congress are dedicated to charitable legacy projects. 

In 1933, Thomas Dewhurst, then President of the Institute of Petroleum, organised our first Congress. This award celebrates an outstanding individual and their unique legacy to the energy industry.

Every three years our Young Professionals conduct a global youth survey to highlight their unique perspectives on our industry. 

At every Congress, we recognise some of the most outstanding projects and innovations within the global energy sector via our WPC Energy Excellence Awards. 

WPC Energy is involved in a number of initiatives to address the disappointingly low representation of women within energy.

Our WPC Energy Guidebooks serve as excellent reference materials and provide a clear and organised framework for learning on a variety of energy related topics.

Our Young Professionals launched their 2023 magazine ENERGY TRANSITION: the path to next zero at the Congress in Calgary. Highlights include an exclusive interview with Amin Nasser, President & CEO, Aramco, Saudi Arabia and 2023 Dewhurst Award recipient.

Energy Insights analyses the challenge of balancing energy security, environmental sustainability and energy equity (affordability and accessibility) and includes a special focus on the Canadian energy transition.  

This report tracks the statistics and trends around the ongoing gender disparity within our industry and serves as a call to action to energy companies to address the significant barriers and challenges which its female workforce still come up against.
