The World Petroleum Council has set up a dedicated portal and event app for the 21st World Petroleum Congress on its mobile application. Delegates and visitors can now access the latest programme schedule, exhibitor listing, floor plans and many more features via the online portal and the downloadable App. It is available across all platforms, including Android, iOS, BlackBerry and Windows Mobile. Congress participants can also plan their visit, manage their personal agenda, set preferences and network with other delegates through the 21st WPC online platform and set favourites on their mobile app.
In his announcement, the Director General of the World Petroleum Council, Dr Pierce Riemer, highlighted the many features that are available on the 21st WPC event app and said: “we hope many participants will use the app as a way to make the most of their time at the Congress and connect with others during the event. With over 5000 delegates and 20,000 visitors expected for the Congress this will help all attendees plan their visit.” In particular he stressed that “the app will also help navigate around the 55,000 sqm exhibition, the largest oil and gas show ever to take place in Russia.”
New features will be added regularly with an interactive floor plan available soon. The official mobile application for the World Petroleum Council, incorporating the 21st WPC mobile app in partnership with Chevron, is now available at http://www.world-petroleum.org/app
